RONNY R. EGLI STARTS AS HEAD OF SALES AT VIEWPOINTSYSTEM

With the experienced sales professional Egli, the Vienna-based smart glasses manufacturer takes the next step towards growth and international expansion

Vienna, April 15, 2021 – Ronny R. Egli is the new Head of Sales at the technology company Viewpointsystem. His core task will be to expand the international sales structures for the company’s smart glasses. Under Egli’s leadership, the network of international distributors and partner companies will be expanded, the latter primarily comprising software vendors and integrators. Besides the European market, the focus is on North America and Asia.

Swiss-born Egli brings extensive experience in the global mechanical engineering and consumer goods industry. In his last position as International Key Account Director at Rational AG, he was responsible for establishing worldwide subsidiaries and OEM’s and managed global sales in the US, China and EMEA. Prior to that, Egli built up an internationally operating consulting company for wine and spirits as Co-founder and Director.

“Ronny brings the best of both worlds: In-depth expertise and an excellent network in one of our core industries, Mechanical Engineering, combined with a strong startup spirit,” comments Nils Berger, CEO and Owner of Viewpointsystem, on the new addition. “Ronny will actively shape our development from a startup to a scaleup. I am extremely pleased that he has joined us on board.“

Egli on his move to Viewpointsystem: “I have been following the transformation of the manufacturing industry through new smart tools and technologies for a long time. Making a difference in this dynamic technology environment and helping to shape the future excites me immensely.”

Viewpointsystem’s smart glasses are used for remote support and remote maintenance in manufacturing, among other things. They support companies in remote collaboration. Currently, a good 60 employees from 20 nations are involved in the creation of the smart glasses, which are developed and produced entirely in Vienna.
